Dear fellow scooter rider,
My name is Ahmad Elzoghby, a board member at the “Alexandria Scooter Riders Club” in Egypt and a founding member of “Cross Egypt Challenge” scooter rally. Please allow me to introduce Cross Egypt Challenge, and invite you and your scooter club members to participate in one of the world’s best scooter rallies to date. Cross Egypt Challenge is a series of endurance scooter rallies conducted throughout one of the most mysterious countries in the world, Egypt. The series started in 2011 and the first season was a 9 days ride from the shores of the Mediterranean Sea in the North of Egypt to the temple of Abu Simbel, on the southern borders of Egypt with a total distance of over 1700 km. The 2011 season managed to reach over 120 million people worldwide and big media agencies like BBC, National Geographic, Discovery Channel has featured articles about it. The 2012 season of Cross Egypt Challenge is planned to take place between the dates of October 12-21, 2012 and will include a challenging 2400km route throughout the most fascinating spots in North Africa and the world, the western Egyptian Sahara. The 2012 season of Cross Egypt Challenge will start from Egypt's capital and the home of the famous Tahrir square, then heads north to the cosmopolitan city of Alexandria at the shores of the Mediterranean before heading west towards the city of Marsa Matrouh. The challenge will then heads down towards the fascinating Sahara desert where the challenge team will ride between Egypt's 5 famous oases, Siwa, Bahareya, Farafra, Dakhla and Kharga before reaching the legendary city of Luxor; the world largest open-air museum, where they will ride down the avenue of the sphinxes to end their ending their long journey in front of the magnificent temple of Karnak. The Cross Egypt Challenge provides a very rewarding and challenging experience for participants from around the globe, as it combines extreme sports and adventure travel. Registration for the 2012 season of Cross Egypt Challenge cost $1600 per person and covers the following:
- Securing a scooter for the participant during the challenge - Securing a brand new helmet for the participant's use during the challenge - Securing a brand new gloves for the participant's use during the challenge - 2 branded polo shirts + 4 branded long sleeve t-shirts for each participant to wear during the challenge - Refueling during the entire challenge - Oil changes during the challenge - Scooter maintenance during the challenge - Road tolls (where applicable) - Cost of army/military and special permits for the entire route - Accommodation for 7 nights in hotels - Camping in the desert for 1 night (with all camp gear provided) - Desert camping activities - All meals during the challenge including welcome and farewell dinners. - Return flight from Luxor to Cairo

Si è vero!!! C'era solo un sottile gusto al pensiero di strapazzare gli elettrodomestici sulle pietraie Egiziane. Però l'argomento non è consono al forum e forse non avrei dovuto metterlo! Cortesemente lo puoi lo eliminare? Grazie!

beh. Mauro... i Camelidi li abbiamo già e all'opera  
non male il giro..... forse per il prossimo anno attrezzare una lambretta per il deserto..... micca male come idea

Ma Tino non sta già organizzando un giro nel deserto australiano? E' un po' lontanuccio, ma come preparazione non sarebbe male!
